Hyperdriver - Climbing Into the Gvtter
Gvtter Cvnt Yep it’s that time again. I present four new Hyperdriver tracks that are the aural equivalent of peeling your fingernails off with a kumquat while a rhino stamps on your foot. Disjointed distorted breaks coupled with some banging bass drums, modular synths and acid lines make for an intense listen. If you are familiar with Hyperdriver then you know what to expect, if not then strap yourself in! |

Fragment King and Hyperdriver Live on Resonance FM, London
Way back in the dark mists of time, or 2005 to us mere mortals, a festival of noisy and generally obnoxious musical mavericks were invited to play at Resistance festival at the Slimelight in London. Among these misfits were Fragment King (Mark Kammerbauer) and Hyperdriver (Steve Munslow), and the two of them were also invited to play live sets on Resonance FM to promote the festival. They decided that rather than play individual short sets they would “tag team” and play alternately for the allotted time. This is the resulting recording. Enjoy. Or not. |
Hyperdriver - Broken
Slime City Dirty glitched out DnB, filthy experimental techno and even a little Xtratone. Features "Broken" one of Hyperdriver's infamous 20 minute tracks. 5 tracks on pro tapes and download clocking in just under 40 minutes. |
Hyperdriver - Analog
Legs Akimbo During an online discussion someone said that breakcore, speedcore and all associated genres are all about computers, samples and drum machines. I disagreed and said that I could record an album without either a computer, drum machine or samples. And here it is. Analog. The equipment used is a Korg MS20 mini, a Moog Mother 32 and a Dreadbox Hades. Sequencing duties were performed by an Arturia Beatstep Pro and the Moog Mother's internal sequencer. Everything was recorded live into a Zoom R16 multitrack. The R16 also provided effects along with a TC Electronic Flashback mini delay pedal. |
Hyperdriver - Antichrist Revs
The 1999 classic breakcore album by Hyperdriver. "...mixes extreme techno, drum and bass and sampled guitars in such a way to make the Progidy look like mandolin strumming balladers. Could I dance to this though, is the question and after consuming three cans of Red Bull I think I could..." |
Hyperdriver - The Notorious Anarchy of the Chainsaw Grind
Originally released on Beergut Recordings in 2003 on CD and CDr. The cover has been updated to reflect the new Hyperdriver logo and the demise of Beergut Recordings. The origin of the album's name is a mystery. The morning after a drunken night out I woke up to find that I had scrawled "The Notorious Anarchy of the Chainsaw Grind" on the back of a beermat. Satanic Rhumba, Mutant Punk, Eating Broken Glass and Product of a Diseased Mind all featured in my live sets right up tp about 2017. |
Hyperdriver - Mellowing With Age
Hyperdriver's Mellowing With Age was released on Beergut Recordings in 2001 and was the start of a more manic Breakcore style that has continued (on and off) to this day. Selectro D'electro was a live favourite for many years. The Unnamed Track was a "secret" noise track that was put on the end of the original CD The cover features Bob and "Bob the hat". Bob the hat never wore a hat. Bob always wore a hat. |
Hyperdriver - DigitalTekNoizeBeatz
Released in 2000 on Beergut Recordings, DigitalTekNoizeBeatz marked a change in my whole approach. Following the release of Tech Support with it's long title track, I just let tracks flow and so longer pieces emerged. At 15 and 13 minutes, ascending Into Chaos and Total Sensory Overload opened the door to lengthy explorations of the sledghammer poundings I like to call music and others like to call a pile of crap The intro to Jungle Lounge remains the Hyperdriver live intro to this day |
Hyperdriver - The Dark Days
The 2001 album The Dark Days was originally released as a D.A.M. CD on the old MP3dotCOM and when it all went belly up the album became unavailable. Until now. Most of these 11 tracks date from the late 90's and The Dark Days was a collection of these previously unused (or underused) tracks. The track "Mental" dates from 1998 and was the second ever official Hyperdriver track. There are older tracks that became Hyperdriver tracks but those were made before I used the name. |

Hyperdriver - Audio Hooliganism
Originally released on Beergut Recordings in 2002 as a homage to that great English export; namely football hooliganism The video for kicking heads was the first Hyperdriver video I ever did. |
